In comparison to yesterday’s “Things I want to remember”…

I give you, Things I Want to Forget (otherwise I may never have another child):

Really it’s only one thing.

The fact that 8 months after giving birth, I got up every two hours to deal with a crying child who isn’t sick, teething, or any way in pain.  When Braeson was newborn, I could get him to sleep about 10.  He’d sleep usually until 3, and then he’d get up at 5 and 7 or so.  At least I got that stretch from 10-3.  Now, 8 months later, he decided that waking up at 11:30, 1:20, 3:20 (until 5) and then again at 7 for the day is TOTALLY ok.

News for you, kiddo.  It’s not.

Oh my god I am sooo sorry. My daughter Julia (2 1/2) still doesn't totally sleep through the night. For the most part now, she will cry for 10-15 minutes, but then just play by herself, whereas when she was younger we could not leave or she would scream and not stop. Regardless, once she's up she is UP for 2 1/2 hours. Except for when she wakes up at like 5:30; then if I bring her in bed with me, after an hour she is visibly sleepy again and will go back to sleep when I put her in her bed.

I hope he stops for you soon! You're right, it is hard to tolerate when you know they're just waking up because they do. not. want. to. sleep. And don't want you to either.
